Holiday delivery

Even though we are closed until after New years, a lovely little parcel arrived full of Sue Spargo Ribbons.  Just had to share them with you, the brain is ticking on where to use them first.  Will put them on the web once I am back to 'work' later in the week.  Just got back from a delicious long lunch with friends, thanks guys that is definitely what being on holiday is all about.

Soiree Safari

Christmas came early with this box of goodies from the delivery man.  These were ordered so long ago I had almost forgotten they were coming.  Soiree Safari are a sweet little range of organic cotton prints that feature elephants and giraffes in teal, orange & lime and they work perfectly with our other organic range, Beach Mod.  here is link to them on our website....  http://www.honeysucklepatchwork.com.au/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=129  To go into the draw to win a fat quarter bundle of this range, simply post a comment to let me know you are out there.  I will draw the winner New Years Day, so a great way to start 2013.

Glacier Star top

Feeling very chuffed that I have got the top together of the Glacier Star quilt.  I had a fabulous four days with Judy Neimeyer from Quiltworx who is the designer of this and lots of other gorgeous patterns.  She taught her foundation piecing techniques and I picked up some great tips.  Four days sounds like plenty of time to put a quilt together but I stitched from 8am through to 7pm most days - some stayed later but I was all tuckered out by 7pm, but I still had lots to do when I got home, but here it is.  I will be offering this as a pattern, kit and class next year as we are now a certified Quiltworx shop.

Thanks to my darling daughter the blog is happening!  My New Year's resolution is to keep in touch with friends and customers (often one and the same) by way of this blog, letting you know what I'm getting up to.  Holly has also set up a Facebook page for Honeysuckle Stained Glass & Patchwork, so I will be using that as well to let you know what's new in the shop and share new ideas and some freebies.  That's the plan. To start off, here is a sneak peak of one of the projects that I'm currently working on, more details when it's complete.
